In the broken places, I learn more of who He is.
In the broken places, I learn more of who He is.

“But I am afflicted and sorrowful [in my broken places]; Let Your salvation, O God, set me up on high. I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.” ~ Psalm 69:29-30

Lord, there is no other god besides You. You are the One True God — no other compares to You. Your love is never ending. Your compassions fail not. Your mercies new every morning, especially in my broken places.

Great are You, Lord!

God’s Presence is Tangible, Especially in My Broken Places

Thank You for knowing my heart, for knowing my anxious thoughts, those things that weigh me down with worry. Life is hard and at times difficulties overwhelm me, looming large and unscalable.

But for Your grace I could not face them.

But because of Your grace, I can and I will.

Because of God's grace I can face my broken places.
Because of God’s grace I can face my broken places.

I will trust in Your sovereignty. I will yield to Your wisdom and plan for my life. I know that in these difficult, broken places I learn more of who You are.

And even though some days are unbearable and it feels as though You slay me, yet will I praise You; yet will I take hold of Your hand, standing firm in my faith, and rest in Your holy Name.

Your Name is the name above all names, the Name to which every knee shall bow … Jesus.

You inhabit the praises of Your people.

When we praise You, Your presence brings light into our darkness. You exchange peace for our chaos, hope for our despair. Your presence restores the broken places in our lives and makes us whole once again.

He is Faithful to Restore Our Broken Places

That’s why we praise You, Lord — not because of our circumstances, but because You are who You say You are. You do what You say You will do. And when our hearts are broken and our spirits are crushed and weary, You draw near.

And in the nearness, we find rest.

In the nearness, the broken places begin to heal.

Bless the Name of the Lord.

In Jesus’s Name I pray,

Amen
