Only God can quench our thirst when we travel through a wasteland.
Only God can quench our thirst when we travel through a wasteland.

“The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose … for waters shall burst forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.” ~ Isaiah 35:1,6

Lord, I’m parched … drained dry. But I know You to be my Living Water that will quench my thirst in this wasteland of hard circumstances. Only You can satisfy the longing soul.

Only You can fulfill and restore and redeem.

God is With Us as We Travel Through a Wasteland

You do all things well. You are peace in my storm, hope in my despair. You are Wonderful, Counselor, Almighty God, and my Prince of Peace.

Thank You for Your peace.

You are Shalom Peace — my strength in this wasteland of sorrow and burdens too great to bear.

Drench me, Lord. Rain down Your grace in my wasteland.
Drench me, Lord. Rain down Your grace in my wasteland.

You never promised life would be full of roses without the thorns. In fact, You promised to be a very present help in times of trouble. You encouraged us that, yes, in this world we would have many tribulations, but to be of good cheer because You have overcome the world!

Troubles come. Hardships chip away at the strongest of facades.

But You remain faithful — steadfast in our wasteland.

Fill me up, Lord, with Your Living Water. Bid me come and drink from Your river that never runs dry. Clear the debris and clutter from my heart so Your Living Water may flow freely to soothe, and comfort me in my distress.

Clear the clutter of anything that would keep me from You.

God Remains Steadfast in Our Wasteland

I want to glorify Your Name, to radiate Your joy. I want to be able in body and strong in spirit, but that requires frequent drinks from Your Living Water. Drench me, Lord. Rain down Your grace and saturate the dry and barren land of my heart.

For You are a good God, faithful in all Your ways.

Thank You for loving me.

In Jesus’ Name I pray,

Amen
