Lead Us Through These Frightening Days, Lord
Father, You are the Almighty God, Maker of heaven and earth. You are sovereign over all things — Your power is unmatched. Lead us through these frightening days. Help us see Your hand in all things.
There are wars and rumors of war, earthquakes, fires, and floods. The earth is groaning with the spiritual battle that is at hand. The depravity of mankind is clear for all to see.
You see too, Lord. And You know all about it.
You know Your children. You search our hearts and know our anxious thoughts. Remind us who You are and who we are to You … Your sons and daughters, loved with incomprehensible love.
Lord, You are our Shepherd who will lead us through these days. Your rod and Your staff comfort us. You prepare a table — a feast — before us in the presence of our enemies because with You by our side, we have no reason to fear. You are the Lion of Judah! Roar with Your thunderous voice and bring order to the chaos. Overcome the evil by the power of Your might.
Let us feel the grip of Your hand as You lead us through these darkened days. Open our eyes to see You, awaken our hearts to recognize Your hand over all things … and find the courage that is bathed in Your peace.

O, Lord, we are desperate for Your peace. With our eyes on You and our mind stayed on who You are, we will be kept in Your perfect peace as You lead us by Your righteous right hand. You are a very present help in times of trouble. I am so thankful.
