“I would have despaired had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
Wait for and confidently expect the Lord;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.” ~ Psalm 27:13-14, AMP
“Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord
And whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord.
For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters,
That spreads out its roots by the river;
And will not fear the heat when it comes;
But its leaves will be green and moist.
And it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought
Nor stop bearing fruit.” ~ Jeremiah 17:7-8, AMP
“Do not, therefore, fling away your [fearless] confidence, for it has a glorious and great reward. For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised.” ~ Hebrews 10:35-36, AMP
You Surround Me As a Shield, Lord
Father, to You I lift up my soul, I have placed my trust in You. My confident expectation is in You, therefore I have hope. Your love has never failed me.
Keep my eyes on You. Keep my heart ever before You so that I might walk steadfastly in Your paths of righteousness. With You by my side, my footing is sure. You go before me into an uncertain future, making a way in the impossibilities. You walk behind me as a rearguard and beside me as a constant, faithful companion — indeed, Lord, You surround me as a shield.
My hope is in You.
My confident expectation is in You.
I will not fear when the heat of trial comes, nor when the weariness of drought knocks at my door because You have planted me along the bank of Your living water. I will not thirst, I will not be concerned with anxieties because You are greater than anything I face.
You Are My Confident Expectation, Lord
Blessed be Your Name! Your faithfulness reaches to the highest heavens, and Your mercies take hold of me in the valleys low, lifting me from the miry clay onto the Rock that is higher than I. You are my helper, Lord, my confident expectation … You are my sure place, my goodness in the land of the living. Thank You … from the bottom of my heart, thank You.
In the Name of Jesus, I pray,
Amen ~ let it be so
