My Redeemer lives! This I know and hold fast to, Lord

“For I know that my Redeemer lives,
And He shall stand at last on the earth;
And after my skin is destroyed, this I know,
That in my flesh I shall see God,
Whom I shall see for myself,
And my eyes shall behold, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me!” ~ Job 19:25-27, NKJV

“Thus says the Lord of hosts,
“The children of Israel are oppressed,
And the children of Judah as well;
And all who took them captive have held them tightly,
They have refused to let them go.
“Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is His name.
He will most certainly plead their case and defend their cause
So that He may bring rest to their land,
But turmoil to the inhabitants of Babylon.” ~ Jeremiah 50:33-34, AMP

“For the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts says this,

‘I am the First and I am the Last;
And there is no God besides Me.
‘Who is like Me? Let him proclaim it and declare it;
Yes, let him confront Me,
Since I established the people of antiquity.
And let them [those supposed gods] tell those people [who foolishly follow them] the things to come
And the events that are going to take place.
‘Do not tremble nor be afraid [of the violent upheavals to come];
Have I not long ago proclaimed it to you and declared it?
And you are My witnesses.
Is there a God besides Me?
There is no other Rock;
I know of none.’” ~ Isaiah 44:6-8, AMP

You, Lord, Will Never Leave Nor Forsake Your Children

Father, the world may be crumbling around me, the depravity of man may be pervasive, and evil may have been unleashed, but this I know: My Redeemer lives!

I have no reason to fear. I have no reason to surrender to overwhelming anxiety because You are with me. You will never leave nor forsake Your children — we are the apple of Your eye, Your special treasure.

When I am weak, I know You will be strong on my behalf. Your eyes roam the earth seeking those who love You, who need to be strengthened — Your love for me far exceeds the threats of the evil one. He has no hold on me for I have been redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb — I once was lost, but now I’m found. My Redeemer lives and upon this earth, He will stand again!

My Redeemer lives!

Just to imagine that I am Your child astounds me. How can You love me so much? How can Your love be so personal? I don’t know the answer to this, but surely I want to. I want to understand the height and the depth, the width and the length of Your love, but I can’t even scratch the surface.

You are amazing, Lord. May I never lose the wonder of who You are to me. May I never forget that my Redeemer lives!

Your sovereignty comforts me and makes me brave because I know You are for me and not against me, I know You are a shield about me and I know You will contend with those who contend with Your children.

The Lion of Judah walks with me

I love to think of You as the Lion of Judah — mighty and victorious! I see myself clinging to Your hand as we walk along. Enemies scatter. I hold my head high because I know I’m the King’s daughter, heir to the kingdom, joint heir with Christ. I know You are the Keeper of my soul. No harm shall come near my tent. A thousand shall fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come near me because You are with me … You are my refuge.

This I Know: My Redeemer Lives!

I dwell in the secret place of the Most High and abide under the shadow of Your glorious wing — Your covenant, Your steadfast, immeasurable love. Though the evil one assails me and those I love, I will stand strong. I will not cower. I will not give up the fight, because of You. Yes, my Redeemer lives.

There is no God besides You. There is no other Rock. I am secure in Your love, safe in Your arms.

In the Name of Jesus, I pray,

Amen ~ let it be so.
