“When anxiety was great within me,
Your consolation brought me joy.” ~ Psalm 94:19, NIV
“Listen to my testimony: I cried to God in my distress
and He answered me. He freed me from all my fears!” ~ Psalm 34:4, TPT
“But in the day that I’m afraid, I lay all my fears before You
and trust in You with all my heart.” ~ Psalm 56:3, TPT
“Do not yield to fear, for I am always near.
Never turn your gaze from Me, for I am your faithful God.
I will infuse you with My strength
and help you in every situation.
I will hold you firmly with My victorious right hand.’” ~ Isaiah 41:10, TPT
Should We Feel Anxiety Over the Future?
Lord, You are sovereign. You are good. You hung the stars in place and told the ocean how far it could come. You know the number of hairs on my head and call me by name. So why do I worry? Why do I feel such anxiety over the future?
Search my anxious thoughts, Lord, and bathe them in Your peace, washing away its power over me.
Your love has never failed me and it never will.

You keep Your covenant with Your children — You will be our God, and we will be Your people. No weapon formed against us will prosper. You are for us and not against us. You are the Lord of hosts — the God of Angel Armies.
What a glorious thought!
You have prepared us for such a time as this.
Help us bring our thoughts captive to You — those thoughts that breed anxiety over the future. Wash them in Your blood where they become powerless to harm us.
When There is Anxiety Over the Future, We Have Choices to Make
Nothing is too difficult for You. Nothing takes You by surprise. When we begin to experience anxiety over the future, we choose to trust You and not be afraid. We choose to remember who You are and who we are not. We choose to turn our gaze to You, away from the difficult places of the world.
In the presence of Your light, the darkness must flee.
In Jesus’s Name I pray,
Amen — let it be so
