“Now the Angel of the Lord found [Hagar] by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur. And He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where have you come from, and where are you going?” She said, “I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.” … Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me?” ~ Genesis 16:7-8, 13, NKJV
“God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.” ~ Psalm 46:1, NKJV
Teach Me How to Process My Pain
Lord, I know You are the God of all comfort. I can’t tell You how many times I have known this to be true. But this pain — this pain is so deep. Help me process my pain, Lord.
Go through this with me in tangible ways — not just through Your promises that permeate Your Word, but through tangible evidence that You are with me. Open my eyes, Lord, that I might see You. Open my ears that I might hear Your reassurance and affirmation. Teach me to recognize Your abiding Presence.

I can’t do this alone, Lord. I cannot process the depth of this pain without You. It’s too much. I lie broken in its wake.
Re-member me, Lord. You are my Healer, my Burden-Bearer. You are the Keeper of my soul. I never walk alone.
You pursue Your children with Your love and seek us out in our wilderness places.
When You find us, You promise to carry us like a father carries his son if we are too weary to walk on our own.
I am that weary child.
Your love is unfathomable. Your tender watch-care is beyond description. To think that the Creator of the Universe cares about me and calls me His own is too beautiful for words.
In Your Presence is where I want to be. I am safe and secure in Your arms. I am comforted by Your great love. When I am overwhelmed, help me process my pain with You.
I’ll Find Peace, Lord, When You Help Me Process My Pain
For when I am weak, You are strong. Infuse me with Your strength Lord. Be the light in my darkness, the healing in my wings. Bless You, Lord. You are good.
In Jesus’s Name I pray,
Amen — let it be so
