O Lord, all my longing is before you;
my sighing is not hidden from you.
My heart throbs; my strength fails me,
and the light of my eyes—it also has gone from me. ~ Psalm 38:9-10, ESV
Lord, great is Your faithfulness. Your mercies fail not — they are new every morning. Therefore I know my sighing is not hidden from You.
And You love me anyway.
How Wonderful to Know My Sighing is Not Hidden From the Lord
Your eyes roam to and fro across the earth seeking those who need to be encouraged … that would be me.
You draw near in my difficult places just as You promised to be near the broken-hearted and those crushed in spirit … that would be me.
So Lord, I trust You and I know You are not a man that You should lie. You know my heart — my anxious thoughts. You know when I am so overwhelmed that I can only sigh in remembrance of You — sighs of great adoration, sighing from the reservoir of faith .

But sighing nevertheless.
My sighing is blanketed in the sweet Name of Jesus and therefore I know You hear me and You respond.
I’m thankful You are not offended by my lack of words when life overwhelms me and I grow weary from the fight. I hope You recognize my sighs as a precious sacrifice of praise — a declaration of faith — as I cling desperately to the hem of Your garment.
Hide me, Lord, beneath the shadow of Your wings until these calamities pass me by.
Thank You for reminding me of such. Help me to always cease striving and be still in those moments where my heart is without words and my body is without strength.
Remembering He is God Overcomes the Sighing
In the stillness I remember You are God.
In the stillness my sighing is joined to Your breath and You fill me with life anew.
Blessed be the Name of the Lord.
In Jesus’s Name I pray,
Amen
