“Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind. ” ~ Job 38:1, NKJV
“The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind;
The lightnings lit up the world;
The earth trembled and shook.” ~ Psalm 77:18, NKJV
“You’ll see all this and burst with joy
—you’ll feel ten feet tall—
As it becomes apparent that God is on your side
and against His enemies.
For God arrives like wildfire
and His chariots like a tornado,
A furious outburst of anger,
a rebuke fierce and fiery.” ~ Isaiah 66:14-15, MSG
Scripture Tells Me Your Voice is in The Whirlwind
Father, in the chaos, You remain. In the difficult places, You draw near and comfort me. Often, life feels like a whirlwind! But I am learning to listen because Scripture tells me Your voice is in the whirlwind.
When the winds of adversity howl and the storm is rocking and rolling, I can be assured of Your presence. The sound of Your thunder is in the storm, the lightnings light up the darkness of the world. It is said that Your chariots of fire rush across the heavens like a whirlwind to reach Your child.

I can see it, Lord. Even though these are metaphors, my mind’s eye can picture Your manifest love in this powerful way. I can see You rushing across the heavens to my side to help me in the difficult place.
And I am astounded by Your magnificent love and faithfulness to me.
Hold me close, Lord … never let me go. When darkness falls around me, let me feel the touch of Your hand. Let me hear Your voice in the whirlwind calling to me, Your daughter. I will keep a grip on hope, for You are my hope.
I Won’t Be Afraid of the Storm
I will keep my eyes on You and my ears attentive to Your words and You will give me Your peace. I won’t be afraid of an unknown future … I won’t be afraid of the storm.
You are the master of the storm, and that is enough for me.
In the Name of Jesus, I pray,
Amen ~ let it be so

Sweet blessings to you,

Dear Nan, your words are so encouraging as we face the trials in our lives. Although circumstances are different for each one the weight of our burdens remain the same. I am reminded today of 2 Kings 6:15-17, God’s horses & chariots of fire, I wonder what the servant felt! Heavenly Father, open our eyes to see the protection you surround us with, help us LORD to face the obstacles put in our path. Father, stay the hand of Satan from interfering with the ministry & Nan’s loved ones. Renew your anointing upon her, Thank you Jesus for the strength you give her, contune to keep her feet planted firmly on the path that leads to you. May your healing touch rest upon us always ~ Hear our prayers LORD, Hear our prayers. Amen
Yes and amen! Thank you Mary Ann. I, too, pictured the image presented in 2 Kings 6 of the chariots of fire surrounding Dothan to fight for and deliver Elisha and his servant. What a powerful truth this is! The God of Angel Armies hears our cry.
