Where is God when life is hard?
I love You, Lord, because You heard my cry. You bent low to listen to my heart and quickly worked to comfort and reassure me. You always hear me because You love me — this I know, and this I cherish.
Life is hard at times, but in the difficult places is where I find You. You become my exceedingly great reward. You replace my despair with hope and my sorrow with joy … Your watchcare amazes me and fills me with gratitude.
You promise to work everything together for my good, and Your glory. When I come through each valley, I look back over my steps and find understanding. The pieces fit together. Somehow, the difficult places find their beauty, and I am stronger for the struggle. When life is hard, the roots of my faith have an opportunity to grow deeper, and my heart is awakened to the wonder of Your abiding presence.
When Life is hard, God makes Himself known in the difficult places
You are wonderful, Lord; You are who You say You are, and You do what You say You will do. Therefore, I trust You. I know You are for me, and not against me. And when I don’t understand the difficult places, when life is hard, and I feel overwhelmed, I remember that You are the Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, and You love me.
Then I realize that everything will be okay because I belong to You. Thank You, Lord.
