Lord, You are the strength of my heart. You are my Truth in the midst of the enemy’s lies and deception. You are my Rock. My Refuge. My Shelter in the storm. Thank You. You are a mighty God! I love You O Lord, my strength.
Ashes lay scattered all about me. Disappointments taunt and accuse me. Confusion swirls while Your perfect peace knocks at my door. Help me reach out and take Your peace once again. You are a God of peace, not of confusion. You promise to bring beauty from my ashes as I offer my pain to You. Thank You Lord. I’m trusting You to do just that because You are Truth and You are good.
I pray for others who are seeking Your Truth — who are seeking You and Your will above all things. Fill them with Your peace, Lord. Settle things within their hearts and open their ears to hear Your wisdom and guidance. Cause them to wait on You and not rush ahead in their impatience, to rest in the knowledge that You are God. Your timing is perfect. Your plan and purpose is beyond our imagination. and we can trust You. Thank You Lord.
Teach us to trust You more and help us grasp the reality that when we need to know the truth, we must seek You, for You are Truth. How awesome is that?
Bless You Lord. We love You and we give You praise.
In Jesus’ Name I pray,
Amen

Oh, my dear Nan!
God’s timing is perfect indeed. I spent a sleepless night, one of many nights where I’ve had trouble sleeping, lately. As I press on to know Christ (and indeed getting some major breakthroughs), the enemy’s attacks on my peace of mind are becoming ferocious. I need peace more than ever but it seems I have to conquer it through great warfare. And yes, also the Be still and know that I am God. I’ve come to understand why Paul said “Fight the good fight of faith”.
I’ve been struggling with a very specific question I’ve been asking God about my calling and last night I begged Him to just say Yes or No. Even “Yes, but not now” would have been better than the *silence* answer I got.
Perhaps He did answer already and I missed it… didn’t believe it or expected more signs… I’m so confused. 🙁
I want His will in my life, so I only want God’s best for me. And yet there’s this craving… 🙁
I would so appreciate it if you could lift me up in prayer. One thing I ask is discernment and acceptance if the answer is NO.
Carina, I will certainly pray about this for you. Waiting on God can be very difficult in this fast paced world of ours. Sometimes we wait on God with our words, but not really with our heart because we grow impatient. The Lord will confirm our steps as He leads us. I have found that when a thought or dream or desire is from Him, it will continue to grow stronger during the waiting and will not dissipate. But it may take years. I waited 18 years from the time I knew the Lord called me til the time I actually began stepping out in faith to pursue my calling of ministering to Christian women who are struggling with their faith. But I didn’t waste those 18 years. I remained faithful in the small things because those small things were actually big things of preparation.
You mentioned spiritual warfare. Boy howdy, am I familiar with that! Read Daniel 10. Daniel was interceding for Jerusalem and mourning for 3 WEEKS. He kept praying asking God for guidance. On the 21ST DAY an angel of the Lord appeared before Daniel with the answer to his prayer. It took him 21 days (3 weeks) to get to Daniel with the answer to his prayer because of the spiritual battle the angel had to endure to get to him. Verse 12 says, “from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days …” What if Daniel had stopped praying on the 20th day? His prayers sustained the angel with the message during the battle and Daniel didn’t even know it.
Continue seeking. Continue praying. Continue trusting. And wait on Him.
Thanks so much for your response, dear sis.
I will continue to trust Him and abide in Him as I wait for confirmation, and be faithful in the little things, as you’ve said.
The Lord has given me some freedom to use my writing talent in some ways, and this has brought deliverance to my own soul and encouragement to others. But I continue to seek Him as regards the details of my “ministry”, since I don’t want to walk where the Holy Spirit is not leading, or move ahead of Him. HE is the King and Lord of my life.
I’ve learned that my first ministry is to be a worshipper. My second ministry is to be my husband’s helper and my son’s teacher. It is all a matter of priorities… sometimes I get that out of order and then anxiety kicks in. But the Lord is good, and He IS directing my steps, and most important of all, shaping my heart with His Son’s image. 🙂
Love you lots!
Amen! Love you too 🙂
Yes, Lord, amen and amen 🙂
And amen 🙂
