Truth is Absolute
Father, You are wisdom. You are truth. Truth is absolute — it cannot be swayed by the opinions of men — if it can be swayed, it isn’t truth. Guard my heart to walk in Your truth at all times.
Deception is rampant in this world — men and women have been given over to depraved minds because they have denied You. Or, in many cases, have tried to make You what they want You to be instead of standing on the truth of Your holiness and majestic sovereignty over all the earth.
Guard my heart against the philosophies of men. I am easily found gullible, and sometimes in my intense desire to not be judgmental, the black and white becomes gray.
Guard My Heart, Lord, That I Might Not Falter
Gray is not truth.
Gray is deception.
Gray is watering down of Your Word.
Oh, guard my heart, Lord, that I might not falter!
May I never be so foolish as to be swayed by the philosophies of men and the lies of the enemy. Help me stand strong in the power of Your Spirit.
Your Word is our standard of Truth. It is powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword that divides bone and marrow — Your Word gives me discernment to know and to stand strong on Your principles and statutes. Your Word instructs me in the way I should go.
Help Me Stand Strong in the Power of Your Spirit
You have given me the breastplate of righteousness to guard my heart against the world’s influence and the philosophies of men. I yield my thoughts, my emotions, my will, and my moral compass to You, O Lord. I will put on my breastplate of righteousness daily. Guide me in all truth. Keep me on the straight and narrow path that honors You and magnifies Your holy Name.
