“Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek His will in all you do,
and He will show you which path to take.” ~ Proverbs 3:5-6, NLT
“Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.
The Lord, the Lord Himself, is my strength and my defense;
He has become my salvation.” ~ Isaiah 12:2, NIV
“The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble.
Those who know Your name trust in You,
for You, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for You.” ~ Psalm 9:9-10, NLT
I Trust You, Lord. Really I Do!
Lord, You are the mighty God, Maker of heaven and earth, and yet You know every intricate detail of my life — You know and care about all that concerns me. I trust You, Lord … most of the time.
That is never a good idea. I need to trust You at all times.
I confess that sometimes I struggle with trusting, probably because I place my focus on my circumstances and not on You.
Please forgive me. Set my heart and my thoughts on You. You alone are my hope. It’s one thing to say I trust You Lord — and I really do! — but then my actions say otherwise. My worry says otherwise, as do my fear and anxiety.
The things I want to do I don’t do. The things I don’t want to do, I do! Oh, wretched woman that I am.
I’m a work-in-progress, Lord. Thank You for Your long-suffering with me. Thank You for teaching me who You are. The depth of Your love is beyond my understanding, but on those horrible, terrible, no-good days I do my best to remember that Your love for me has no end and that You are always good.
And that makes all the difference for me.
You are Jehovah-Shalom, the Lord my peace.
You are Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord my provider.
You are Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord my healer.
You are El Roi, the God who sees me and knows all about it.
You have taught me Your name. Thank You, Lord. I know I can run there and be safe, for Your name is a strong tower. Your name is who You are. No matter what I face, You are my refuge.
Lord, Your Love Will Never Fail
Your sufficiency meets my insufficiency and I am made whole.
Surely, Lord, You are my salvation — You, Yourself are my strength and my defense.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen — let it be so
