Unless I Abide in You, I Am Vulnerable to the Enemy’s Assaults
Lord, You are the Most High God, You are El Shaddai — the All-Sufficient God who meets my insufficiencies and completes me. You fulfill all that I need. I know You are with me and I know You are for me, so when life is hard, I look to You for help. But, unless I abide in You as You abide in me, I am vulnerable to the enemy’s assaults.
Teach me to live within Your love when life is hard.
You are a very present help in trouble. You surround me as a shield and with songs of deliverance. When I remain in Your love and the light of Your presence — I am strengthened in the battle. As I trust in You, You make Your home in me, and I begin to understand how wide, how long, how high, and how deep Your love is. You make me complete in You.

When I align myself with You, when I stay connected to You in the difficult places, I am strengthened to endure. Praise keeps me connected. Prayer keeps me aligned. And love keeps me aware that I am abiding in You. Love grows. Faith deepens. And confidence in the One in whom I have believed becomes stronger.
Hold Me Close, Lord
I want to stand firm when life is hard and not waver or want to give up. This happens when I live within Your love … consistently. This is my heart’s desire. Teach me to abide in actuality, Lord, not just with words. Daily, not randomly. You are the Keeper of my soul.
I trust You, Lord. You are my Redeemer and Friend.
