My Might and Power are Not Enough
Lord, You are my strength and my shield. I place my trust in You, and I am helped. You are faithful and true … I trust in Your Word. You have taught me that it is not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirit that I can overcome any mountain that is in my way and any giant that is in my land.
For You are not against me, Lord. No! You are for me. You call me Your daughter. You uphold me by Your righteous right hand — I can feel Your grip on mine, and I know I don’t walk alone.
You are the everlasting God, Maker of heaven and earth! Your power cannot be measured, Your love has no end. You never sleep nor slumber, and You never grow weary in Your watchcare over me. I can’t understand how You are all-knowing, ever-present, and all-powerful, but You are. You have proven Your faithfulness to me time and time again.
When I am weak, You are oh so strong … without fail. I don’t need to rely on my might or power, because I have Your Spirit within me and Your Spirit about me surrounding me as a shield. It is in You that I live and move and have my being. It is Your Spirit working within me that makes me an overcomer and leads me to victory.
I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me
Oh great mountain of difficulty, you cannot defeat me, for greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I don’t need to be mighty … I don’t need to be powerful, because my God goes before me and you, Satan, cannot defeat me.
