When I Let Go of Control, You Always Make a Way
Lord, You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that I ask or think, according to the power of Your Spirit within me. Over and over again, I have experienced Your faithfulness and Your goodness to me. When I let go and choose to trust You, You always lead me through.
Especially when I’m overwhelmed or can’t see a way out … especially when I die to self-reliance and trust You alone, when I step out of the way, fully let go of control, and put my trust in You, You make a way. You make the crooked places straight. When there is lack, You provide. When there is fear or anxiety, You make me brave because I remember that You are with me.
You have rooted and grounded me in the knowledge of Your love. Because I have built my life on You, I am filled with Your fullness — all that I need is found in You. Hallelujah!
I Stand in Awe of You, Lord
As I learn to let go, help me walk worthy of the calling as Your light-bearer. May the fragrance of Christ be all about me so others will be drawn to You. As others watch me trust You in the difficult place, help them choose to trust also. I want to serve You with humility and gentleness of heart. Where there is discord, let me sow peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love … where there is despair, let me bring the hope of the Living God — You, my Lord.
All blessing and power, honor and glory belong to You. I stand in awe of You, Lord. You are my God, my Redeemer and Friend. I love You.
