God’s way is perfect.
All the Lord’s promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to Him for protection.
For who is God except the Lord?
Who but our God is a solid rock?
God arms me with strength,
and He makes my way perfect.
He makes me as surefooted as a deer,
enabling me to stand on mountain heights.” ~ Psalm 18:30-33, NLT
I Will Run to You, Lord. You are My Rock
Father, though the earth trembles and mountains slip into the sea, I will not fear, for You are with me. Though there are wars and rumors of wars, I will not be afraid. When my heart is overwhelmed, I will run to You, for You are my Rock.
You have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Oh, what a glorious, comforting thought … I will trust in the shelter of Your wings, in Your steadfast covenant love that will never fail me.
When my heart is overwhelmed, remind me who I am to You, and who You are to me — You are the Rock of my salvation! Oh, Rock of Ages, let me hide myself in You.
This world is not my home, but while I’m here I want to represent You well. I want to be a light in the darkness. Where there is despair, I want to bring hope, where there is sorrow, I want to bring joy. Strengthen me, Lord, to serve You well. Make me brave enough to encroach upon the darkness.
Let me abide in You, the Rock of my salvation, hidden from the enemy. Fill me up with the power of Your Holy Spirit so when You call me to step out from my hiding place, I will be an effective witness for You.
You are my strength, my peace. When I become overwhelmed I will run to You, my Rock, where I can drink from Your well and be filled one again. You are a shield about me, the Keeper of my soul. You lavish me with Your love.
Let Me Abide in You, the Rock of My Salvation
Who is God except the Lord? You are my Rock … my solid Rock on which I stand. Safe. Secure.
