I Can Rest Knowing There is a Time for Every Purpose Under Heaven
Lord, You are sovereign — You have taught me this beautiful truth through severe circumstances. I can rest in this knowledge. I can rest, knowing there is a time for every purpose under heaven.
Nothing is by happenstance.
I am not a pebble in the stream tossed about by reckless waves — I am a child in Your hand, loved and secure. You orchestrate my days. You direct my steps to fulfill Your divine purposes.
Help me learn to wait on You, Lord, to not lose my resolve of keeping my eyes on You. When my eyes are on You I am at peace, all fear is gone. When my eyes are on You, my frustration lessens, my anxious thoughts are under control.
When my eyes are on you, I remember there is a time for every purpose and things will unfold when and how they should.
Thank You for teaching me of Your sovereignty. That is a sure place for me — an amazing thought that brings order to my chaos. Sometimes I resist this knowledge because I want things to play out differently or quicker, and for that I am sorry. My spirit knows better because You have taught me truth, You have allowed me to see the beauty of Your authority in my life.
There is no coincidence. There are no what-ifs… there is You in the beauty of Your holiness.
You are the Creator of the Universe who hovered over the darkness of the void of the earth and brought order. You spoke — ruach Elohim — and there was light, there was form and firmament and water, moon and stars … there were all created things.
My Soul Waits for You, Lord
Help me wait, Lord, on Your perfect timing for I know You have a time for every purpose under heaven. An appointed time. Your perfect time for Your purposes in my life.
My soul waits for You.
