“I led them with cords of [faithfulness],
with ties of love.
To them I was like one who lifts
a little child to the cheek,
and I bent down to feed them.” ~ Hosea 11:4, NIV
“He will feed His flock like a shepherd.
He will carry the lambs in His arms,
holding them close to His heart.
He will gently lead the mother sheep with their young.” ~ Isaiah 40:11, NLT
“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by Him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” ~ Romans 8:14-16, NIV
“Then Jesus said, ‘Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.'” ~ Matthew 11:28-30, NLT
I find my rest in You
Abba Father, hold me close. Your presence is so sweet to my longing soul. Soothing. Reassuring. I find my rest in You. With the cords of Your faithfulness, You have bound me to Yourself — You have covered me with Your wing and kept me safe from the enemy.
Thank You, Lord.

You have developed a warrior spirit within me, but right now, I just want and need to be like a little girl crawling into her Daddy’s lap and being held. Adulting is hard. Dementia is harder. Hold me near to Your heart. I need to feel secure once again. As my Abba Father, I love being held by You.
Thank You for allowing me to know You in this way. Some don’t believe this … but I do. I know You have a place in Your magnificence where I can experience what it means to be Your daughter. I can let down my guard, rest in Your arms, and just be held. There is no other peace like it. No comfort compares to the comfort I receive from You.
Abba Father, I Just Need to be held
Bless You, Lord. Thank You for knowing and understanding the needs of my heart. Thank You for meeting those needs abundantly. And thank You for being not only Almighty God, but also my Abba Father, the One who loves me with an everlasting love.
I love You, Lord … be glorified in me.
In the Name of Jesus I pray,
Amen ~ let it be so
