Sunlight blazed from the summer sky filling the earth with warmth. I walked along our country road whispering prayers and finding refuge beneath my Father’s wing where I may sing for joy as a child. The Spirit of God made His Presence known all about me — the light of His presence casting exquisite sunbeams through the canopy of interlocked pine, oak, and elm.
God’s Glory is Always Proclaimed
Birds called from the treetops. White-tail deer sprinted from the creek into the forest’s safety, as the gentle breeze whispered through the pines. Creation declared His glory all about us.
Even if we don’t take time to notice, His glory is always proclaimed. His presence is always with His children. We just need to look and listen.
Stepping out from the shade of the canopy, the sunlight brightened, casting shadows all about me.

The Lord reminded me of a scripture I had read earlier in the day:
“For You have been my help,
and in the shadow of Your wings I will sing for joy.” ~ Psalm 63:7, ESV
I prayed, You have been my help, Lord. You have strengthened me, and You have led me through the fire. Beneath my Father’s wing I will sing for joy!
Our God is Faithful and True
In my spirit a song arose and I began to sing,
“Great is Thy faithfulness
O God my Father.
There is no shadow of turning with Thee.
Thou changest not,
Thy compassions they fail not —
As Thou hast been
Thou forever will be.” (Thomas Chisholm – 1925)
He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His love for us never changes.

He is who He says He is, our Father and our God.
At the end of long, difficult days when shadows unfurl across your path, know this: the perfect shadow cast over us is the shadow of His Presence, and this I know: beneath my Father’s wing I can sing for joy as a child. He lifts my burdens. He restores my soul.
Our God is faithful. Sure. And trustworthy.
Beneath My Father’s Wing is Where I Want to Be
I turned for home, walking into the sun. I peered over my right shoulder at the shadow cast upon the country road. The light of His Presence warmed my face. I closed my eyes and, once again, I thanked the Lord for His faithfulness and I walked home beneath my Father’s wing singing.

Sweet blessings to you,

This is so true…
Even if we don’t take time to notice, His glory is always proclaimed. His presence is always with His children. We just need to look and listen
Yes, it is! I love the God-moments I have as I walk along our country road, or observe the birds and deer outside my window. He has taught me so much this way — not in a New Age creepy way, but in a strong Biblically based manner of understanding His ways and truths. Thank you for stopping by Mandy! I’m keeping you in my prayers 🙂
