“Thus says the Lord: ‘Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I AM the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight, says the Lord.”
(Jeremiah 9:23,24)

Above all things, glory in the fact that you know and understand the Lord your God.
AND
Above all things, realize that He IS the Lord and there is no other.
AND
Know and understand that it is the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness in the earth.

These are the Truths we are to glory in – to boast in – to rejoice proudly in.

These are the Truths upon which we can stake our hopes, our dreams – our trust.

In Acts 17:28, Paul says that, “It is in Him that we live and move and have our being.” We are sealed WITHIN His Holy Spirit. It is not us that lives, but Christ that lives within us.

Do you see where I am going with this?

It is not about us. It is all about Him. Our lives and all of its concerns on this earth are temporal. Our focus must be on the Lord and His eternal purposes.

I love what 1 Corinthians 1:26-31 has to say about this: “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the insignificant things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God – and righteousness and sanctification and redemption – that, as it is written, ‘He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.'”

Amen? Amen!

“For in these I delight,” says the Lord.

Teach us, Lord! Strip us of our pride that glories in itself and make us more like You. You are so wise. Your thoughts are not our thoughts, nor Your ways our ways. Thank you for Your mercy and grace. May we glorify You in all that we do. We love You Lord and are so grateful that You call us Your own.
