Turn your eyes on Jesus, look full in His wonderful face.
Father, You are like a long drink of cool water on this hot, sultry summer day. You satisfy us with Your love. You care for us with Your mercy, and You sustain us with Your grace. Thank You Lord. Thank You for Your faithfulness.
When we are parched, fill us with Your Living Water. When we are frightened, fill us with Your courage. And during those times we are annoyed or frustrated, fill us with Your grace — a grace to love others and a grace to trust You with our life’s journey. It’s so wonderful to walk in the Truth that nothing comes our way without Your knowledge.
I pray for those who are overwhelmed today. I ask that You awaken our hearts to know You. Restore to us the joy of our salvation, and fill our hearts with a song of praise — even if we don’t feel like it. Especially, if we don’t feel like it. Praise is a gift from You, Lord. It lifts us on the wings of eagles to rise above the storm. It breaks the chains that keep us bound, and maintains our focus on You. When our eyes lock with Yours, Your grace abounds and gives us peace. Thank You for Your grace.
You are an amazing God. I love that You love us so tenderly and so faithfully. We bless You Lord, for You alone are worthy of praise.
