“Glory in His holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Look to the Lord and His strength;
seek His face always.” Psalm 105:3-4, NIV
“Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.” ~ Psalm 46:10, AMP
“And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. ” ~ Exodus 14:13, NKJV
“Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in Him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will not be shaken.
My victory and honor come from God alone.
He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
O my people, trust in Him at all times.
Pour out your heart to Him,
for God is our refuge.” ~ Psalm 62:5-8, NLT
Things go better when I remember that You alone are God
Father, You are Jehovah-Shalom, the Lord my peace. I know of Your sovereignty — I appreciate Your sovereignty. Understanding that You have complete authority over all things is a great comfort to me. Help me look to You at all times and remember that You are God.
There are days when I insist on taking matters into my own hands … as if I know better. It’s ridiculous, I know. I suppose it’s part of the human condition, but mercy! My trying to handle things rarely goes well.
Empower me to be still, to look to You, and remember that You alone are God. There is no other. I desire Your Lordship. I honor You as the Sovereign God …
So why do I get in the way? Why do I worry? Why do I fret? Your love has never failed me … You are the Keeper of my soul. When I consider the works of Your hands, I am overwhelmed by Your magnificence — how excellent is Your Name in all the earth!
And even in the splendor of who You are, You know my name … You call me daughter. May I never lose the wonder of this beautiful truth.
There is No One else like You, Lord
I am safe and secure in Your arms. I need only to be still, look to You and remember that You are God.
Always have been.
Always will be.
In Jesus’s Name, I pray,
Amen ~ let it be so
