Hold me fast, Lord ... I think I'm slipping.

“Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Where can I flee from Your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, You are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, You are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,

even there Your hand will guide me,
Your right hand will hold me fast.” ~ Psalm 139: 7-10, NIV

I Will Cling to You, Lord

Lord, take my hand and lead me through these difficult places. Hold me fast. Don’t let go — some days it feels like I’m slipping.

In my spirit, I know I’m not. You will never let me stumble or fall. My choices could cause that, but not You. You love me with an everlasting love that will never fail me.

Hold me fast, Lord, especially when the enemy taunts me with his sneers. Keep my eyes focused on You — hold my gaze. When I look to You, Your grace abounds, Your peace enfolds me.

Hold me fast, Lord.

You have placed me on a Solid Rock.

I will lift high my shield of faith when the lies of the enemy come in like flaming arrows. I will choose victory because greater are You within me than he that is in the world.

And on these days I’m not quite so matter-of-fact, would You grant me the fortitude to persevere through the trial? When You hold me fast — when I keep my eyes on You — I can face any giant, climb any mountain, and cross any raging river.

Nothing is too hard for You.

When You Hold Me Fast, Lord, I Can Face Any Giant

You empower me with Your Holy Spirit to overcome. You steady my heart. I love You, Lord. I give You all the honor and glory due Your Name.

In Jesus’ Name, I pray,

Amen ~ let it be so
