Lord, strengthen me to live worthy of Your love.

“Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.” ~ Ephesians 4:1-3, NLT

“For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.” ~ Colossians 1:9-12, NKJV

“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for Him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what He wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” ~ Romans 12:1-2, MSG

I don’t always feel worthy of Your love, Lord

Father, this world has gone absolutely crazy. There seems to be no filter on the mouths (or fingertips) of so many people. Immorality is the norm. Decency and respect are apparently old-fashioned. And yet … You have called Your children to be light-bearers — CHRIST-bearers in this world darkened by sin. It’s hard, Lord. Strengthen me to live and walk worthy of Your love.

I’m reminded that it’s not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirit that I can live a life that is blameless and acceptable to You. You call us to be holy as You are holy. You call us to be humble and gentle, patient and kind. You call us to see others through Your eyes of compassion and love them as only You can.

Empower me to live worthy of Your love

This is not an easy assignment, Lord, especially in today’s man-eat-man culture where self-righteousness abounds and imitators of good deceive often. But You are my strength. Empower me to live worthy of Your love and to represent You well. Draw me closer to You. Search me and know me, Lord. Know my anxious thoughts. Know those parts of me that I have not submitted to Your authority so I might be refined as pure gold.

You have done so much for me — loved me so beautifully. I want to love You in return by honoring You with my life. I want my life to be an offering to You. I want to live worthy of Your love, to be holy as You are holy. I fail often, but I know You are transforming me from the inside out. Thank You, Lord. Thank You for Your longsuffering with me … for Your steadfast, unfailing love.

Be Glorified in Me, Lord, As I Walk Hand in Hand with You

Strengthen me to be salt and light for Your glory. Help me walk in a way and live my life in a manner worthy of Your love.

For You are good, and You are worthy of all praise. Be glorified in me, Lord, as I walk hand in hand with You. Be found in me as You transform me into the likeness of Christ. I am Yours and You are mine. I’m so thankful to be Your daughter.

In Jesus’s Name,

Amen ~ let it be so
