I’m Waiting on You
Lord, You promise to go before us. The light of Your Presence and the truth of Your Word are the lamp to our footsteps, leading us forward, even through the shadows of difficult places. Even when I can’t see. I’m waiting on You to lead the way and rekindle my hope.
For You are with me always. You never leave Your children to wander aimlessly. I know You will never forsake me. I will bless You, Lord, and I give You praise!
I hear You calling me to come — to sit with You in Your dwelling place. When my stubborn self-sufficiency finally surrenders, I find You again — I hear Your delicate whisper affirming me as Your child. I feel the grip of Your hand in mine, and my hope is restored.
In Your Presence is fullness of joy.
In Your Presence is security, peace, and hope.
While I’m Waiting, I Have Placed My Hope in You
I look to You, and find help in times of need. Even when my situation seems impossible, my hope is in You, Lord, for You have never failed me. Teach me to trust with abandon.
I have learned that Your ways are not our ways, Your thoughts are not our thoughts, and Your timing is usually not our own. But Your timing is perfect, just like You. I can be sure of this.
As I’m waiting on You, help will surely come. Help will come because I have brought my requests before You in prayer and thanksgiving, and I have placed my hope in You.
Lead me into Your dwelling place where I may place my need on Your altar of amazing love, knowing that, in Your great faithfulness, You will hear the cries of my heart.
Lord, I praise You for who You are — my Defender, my Provider, my Strength, Redeemer, Savior, and Lord. Bathe me in Your grace as I’m waiting. My hope is in You, for You are faithful.
I love You, Lord.
