“Hear my cry, O God;
Attend to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” ~ Psalm 61:1-2, NKJV
“For He will conceal me there when troubles come;
He will hide me in His sanctuary.
He will place me out of reach on a high rock.
Then I will hold my head high
above my enemies who surround me.
At His sanctuary I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy,
singing and praising the Lord with music.” ~ Psalm 27:5-6, NLT
Lead Me to The Rock That is Higher Than I
Lord, I’m so thankful I can depend on You. I’m so thankful for Your longsuffering, especially when I drag my feet in surrender. I want You to lead me to the Rock that is higher than I, but I’ll need a boost — a foothold to find my way up.
Clearly, I trust You to take care of me, so why am I struggling so? I hear You whisper, Let not Your heart be troubled. You remind me to be anxious for nothing but in everything with thanksgiving let my requests be made known to You … and You will take care of the rest.

But like Paul, the things I want to do, I don’t do, and the things I don’t want to do, I do.
I see You standing before me — my Rock my Fortress, my God. You are my sure place. Would You lift my chin so that my eyes meet Yours? I’m not afraid when I look to You. I’m no longer overwhelmed when my gaze is locked with Yours.
But when I slip and look around, I lose my footing and I am quickly overcome by my circumstances.
Forgive me Lord. I need Your help to keep my eye on You — to guard my heart against the assaults of the enemy. When my mind is stayed on You, I will be kept in perfect peace.
I see Your hand reaching out to me. I hear Your voice saying, Come to Me. I will give you rest.
I’m Coming Lord!
I’m coming, Lord. Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I … and just in case … will You give me a boost up if I start to slip?
Thank You, Lord. I praise You for Your love, for Your mercy and faithfulness towards me. You alone deserve all praise.
In the Name of Jesus I pray,
Amen

Sweet blessings to you,

Please pray for me that a decision I made this morning is Gods wisdom and direction and not my own.
Please forgive me God is I am not correctly hearing you. I wait upon you Lord, Your whisper, your Roar to wait til YOU tell me to let go.
Jesus you are my shield. You promise to make all my wrongs right. Oh Lord I wait for you and your validation. This decision I have made I pray it comes only from you.
Nan thank you for being such a strong branch connected with Christ. I too cling to the vine of Christ with you and pray that I may produce much fruit to further YOUR mission Jesus and not my own for Christ’s sake and mercy and grace. Amen
Sweet Lynn, I’m praying for you right now, asking the Lord to guide you with His peace, to go before You and clearly light each step. I’m praying that no weapon formed against you will prosper, and I’m reminding the enemy that our God is not a god of confusion, but a God of peace! Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. Bring all of your thoughts captive to Him, and cast down all imaginations. The Lord will not forsake you. Try to avoid knee-jerk reactions to situations, and wait on His peace. He, Himself, is our peace. I will continue to pray for you. I’m listed at Nan Trammell Jones on facebook if you need me.
I feel like I’m constantly needing a boost up lately. Thank you for the reminder to always keep Jesus first in my life and to not be afraid to ask Him for help.
You’re so welcome. I’m so thankful the Lord searches our hearts and knows all of our anxious thoughts. He sees and He knows all about it, therefore I believe there is no shame is asking Him for a “boost” to climb onto the Rock that is higher than we are. His love will never fail! He makes all things beautiful in His time …
