“What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since He did not spare even His own Son but gave Him up for us all, won’t He also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for His own? No one – for God Himself has given us right standing with Himself. Who then will condemn us? No one – for Christ died for us and was raised to life for us, and He is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.
“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, ‘For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.’) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, Who loved us.
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow – not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below – indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
(Romans 8:31-39, New Living Translation)
The subtitle for this passage of Scripture is “God’s Everlasting Love”. Oh, that we could fathom this sweet friends, oh, that we could fathom it.
Paul asks five questions that, once considered, should leave no doubt concerning our spiritual security:
1 – If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
2 – Since God even gave His Son for us, won’t He also give us everything else?
3 – Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for His own?
4 – Who then will condemn us?
5 – Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love?
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
Are you discouraged? The love of God is PRESENT love. It is now. It is for this very moment of your life and it covers absolutely everything that concerns you.
And NOTHING, absolutely nothing will ever separate you from His love.
Sing with me…
Jesus loves me this I know,
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong.
They are weak, but He is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me.
Yes, Jesus loves me…
For the Bible tells me so.
Sometimes it just feels good to be a child again and crawl into your Father’s lap.
Lord, How can we ever thank You enough for Your love? You paid a debt You did not owe, We owed a debt we could not pay. Thank You for loving us no matter what! Forgive us for the times we question Your love or forget Your love. Father, we desire to bless You in all things. Please, receive our love as an offering of praise.
The memories that I have singing "Jesus Loves Me" is amazing! As soon as started singing the song, I thought of my grandmother playing the song on the piano which I now own. I was very, very young. What sweet memories! May have to play it this morning.
Jewel!!! What is it about such a simple song that makes us feel warm and fuzzy all over? Like you, I have so many memories. So glad you were reminded of your grandmother. Love you friend!
