It is in You, Lord, that I live and move and have my being
Father, You are the Keeper of my soul — my provider, my protector, my sure place. You will not allow my foot to be moved; You who keep me will not slumber. You watch over me day and night — no weapon formed against me will ever prosper.
Thank You, Lord. It is in You that I live, and move, and have my being — You are a shield about me, You surround me with songs of deliverance as I call upon Your mighty Name. I know I am safe. I know I am secure in You, the Keeper of my soul, who preserves me.
I love the warmth and security of Your presence … of Your love. In the quiet, I am reminded of who You are to me and who I am to You. In solitude, Your voice is clear, and serenity settles upon me. You have opened the eyes of my heart to recognize You as You draw near to hold me in my distress or to revel in my praise. I’m so appreciative.
I love Your presence, Lord … the knowledge that I am not alone. I think of You as the clouds billow across the mountain ridge. I’m reminded that the clouds are the dust of Your feet as You race across the heavens at the sound of my cry. I feel Your breath as the gentle breeze brushes across my face or the mighty wind accompanies me along my country road.
The Keeper of my soul is Your Name, Lord
And as silly as it seems, I love those moments when I sense You winking as You do something, usually something simple, that lets me know I am on Your mind. What amazing love! How can it be that the Creator of the Universe knows my name?
I am Your child, and You are my God, the Keeper of my soul. I bless Your holy Name.
