“Then Jesus said, ‘Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.’” ~ Matthew 11:28-30, NLT
“For I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing.” ~ Jeremiah 31:25, NLT
“The Lord is my shepherd;
I have all that I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows;
He leads me beside peaceful streams.
He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
bringing honor to His name.” ~ Psalm 23:1-3, NLT
“Come with Me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” ~ Mark 6:31, NIV
I Need Your Rest, Lord, Where I Find Peace Again
Father, You give rest to the weary, strength to the worn. In Your infinite power, You move mountains to reach Your child who needs You. You are such a wonderful Father … all that I need, Your hand has provided.
I need rest, Lord — not as the world offers, but Your rest where I find peace again. You call me to come, for in You is where I find restoration for my body, soul, and spirit. Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed. Restore me, and I will be restored.

From the depths of the earth and to the heights of heaven, You have created all things. You know me, Lord. You search my heart and know my anxious thoughts. You know my coming-ins and my going-outs … You know my thoughts from afar. There is not a word on my tongue but behold, O Lord, You know it.
Why is this important to me? Because these truths reassure me that You know me — really know me. You know when I’m weary and need to rest, and You also know that I’m stubborn and don’t want to. Perhaps You’re more stubborn than me because here I am learning to rest in You. You won the battle, Lord.
Fill Me to Overflowing, Lord
Please forgive me for being so resistant to Your instructions. I know it was born of great love. I don’t want to rest for the sake of rest, but I want to rest in You and receive full restoration. Fill me to overflowing. Father, I come.
In Jesus’s Name I pray,
Amen ~ let it be so

Sweet blessings to you,

Hoping everything is going well for you Nan, and the worst of your shingles outbreak is over. Still praying for you and David, as always. May our wonderful father richly bless you today!
Thank you so much! These shingles have been a booger! I’m still needing to sleep 2-3 hours in the afternoon because I have no energy. The blisters around my eye seem to be ramping up again. Sigh. I may be contacting my doctor again this week. I cherish your prayers and thank you for your blessing.
Dear Nan. Please pray for my children. Ryan and family.
Of course I will. Let’s pray together right now …
Father, You are El Roi, the God who sees us and knows all about it. You never sleep nor slumber and Your eyes roam the earth seeking those who love You who need to be encouraged. I ask that You encourage my friend and remind her that those she loves, You love even more. What a blessed assurance this is! I lift up Ryan and family to You. I don’t know the need, but You do. I am asking and trusting You to meet their need abundantly, be it peace, wisdom, reconciliation, provision, guidance … Lord, You know all things, and You do all things well. We entrust them to You. We bless You, Lord and we give You praise. In Jesus’s Name I pray, amen
