“I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you.” ~ Genesis 9:13-15
Lord, You are good. so good. This I know and this I press into when life comes at me hard. I am in covenant with You, therefore nothing comes my way without Your knowledge.

My hope is in You alone. You truly are my anchor on this wave-tossed sea.
This knowledge of Your Truth is my rainbow of promise that I belong to You.
I’m so thankful for You. I’m so thankful You are who You say You are.
You have promised that when the enemy comes in like a flood, You will hold up Your banner — Your standard — against him. For us! You will do that for us.
I am amazed by Your tender watchcare.
I don’t know how You love us so much, but I’m so thankful You do. You pursue us with Your love. Help us grasp that Truth and get it deep in our knowers.

When life overwhelms help us think on Your rainbow that comes as a mixture of rain and light from Your heavens. It’s a mixture. It’s beauty comes from a storm. It’s brilliance comes in contrast to the dark clouds surrounding as a backdrop.
Perhaps You chose the rainbow as a symbol of Your covenant because it’s colors reflect the brilliance of Your glory — the glory of Your presence! We are never alone. You made sure of that, Lord.
Your abiding presence undergirds us in our darkest moments, the light of Your glory overcoming the darkness.
Your light and the color of Your love shine brighter in our darkest storms. Always.
Open our eyes that we might see You there with us just as You promised. You are near to the brokenhearted and those crushed in spirit. You are there.

Awaken the eyes of our hearts to recognize You, Lord.
In You, there is always hope. There is always peace. There is always assurance. In You. Make us to know the reality of this Truth.
There is always a rainbow in our storms of life — no matter how severe, no matter its duration, no matter its destruction.
There is always a rainbow because You are with us.
The light of Your glorious presence mixes with the pain of our tears and brings beauty.
Thank You, Lord. Bless Your holy Name.
In Jesus’ Name I pray,
Amen
