God promises to inhabit the praises of His people.

God promises to inhabit the praises of His people.

“Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the [enemy] who had come against Judah and they were defeated.” ~ 2 Chronicles 20:22

Lord, You amaze me with Your goodness and grace that abounds to us always — Your promises for every aspect of our lives. You are ever-present, ever-merciful, and kind. Your eyes roam to and fro across the earth seeking those who love You who need to be encouraged. I cannot fully comprehend that kind of love and care from an Almighty God.

And yet it’s true.

Your promises are true.

Thank You for teaching me to stand on Your promises, to trust You to take care of all that concerns me. You really are the keeper of our souls. Awaken our hearts to take hold of that Truth — You keep us in Your care.

Praise You, Lord.

Teach us to walk by faith and not by sight. Teach us to praise You for who You are, especially when it’s hard to praise You for our circumstances.

Praise ushers in Your Presence.

Praise releases Your power and strength within us.

For in the unrestrained praise, we find our victory over whatever we face because praise acknowledges that You are God.

You, Lord, are worthy of all praise. We lift our praise to You, we surrender our burdens to Your constant care.

Thank You for Your love.

In Jesus’ Name I pray,

Amen

Have you had a chance to read Faith Notes ~ Nikolai Khamara: Where is God When Torture is Imminent?

Many years ago when my adult children were still kids, I bought them the book, Jesus Freaks, by dc Talk and The Voice of the Martyrs. This powerful book is filled with testimony after testimony of Believers who have gone before us into torturous places because of their faith. Most suffered and died with glory on their faces, just as Jesus did. And because of this, these precious saints beheld Him face-to-face — His blood never being so powerful! His grace never so amazing!

In today’s Faith Notes, I’m sharing an excerpt from Jesus Freaks about a young Russian named Nikolai Khamara who, because of the faithful witness of Christians sharing space in a Communist prison, Nikolai came to know Jesus and to ultimately die for his faith.
