How to Pray it Through
“In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
“Now on the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, that is, the Tigris, I lifted my eyes and looked, and behold, a certain man clothed in linen, whose waist was girded with gold of Uphaz! His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning …
“Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.” ~ Daniel 10:2-6, 12-13, NKJV
The Battle is Wearing Me Out
O Lord, what a battle it has been lately! I keep praying and praying in order to pray it through, but it’s been hard. I’ve been discouraged because I don’t see the results I seek. The shadows of difficulty have dimmed Your fingerprints so that I don’t see them clearly.
Yet I know by faith You are with me. Indeed, You are for me and You are working in my life at all times.

Grant me the perseverance to pray it through until there is victory and peace and reconciliation … pray it through until my heart is at rest in Your answer … no matter what the answer is.
Thank You for the image of Daniel praying for three full weeks and then on the very next day, an angel of the Lord appeared. Thank You for showing me that this angel was fighting in the heavenlies for twenty-one days to get to Daniel with Your answer to his prayer — the prayers of Daniel brought the victory in the spiritual realm.
What if Daniel had stopped praying? What if I stop praying for the pressing burdens on my heart because I give up?
Lord, You clearly hear us when we pray. You are faithful to respond. Thank You for reminding me of the spiritual warfare surrounding my request.
I Will Persevere and Pray it Through
I will eagerly wait for Your answer as I place my hope in You. I believe in You. I trust You. I love You.
With perseverance I will pray it through as you have taught me.
In Jesus’s Name I pray,
Amen
