The incredible wonder is that my insufficiency loses its power over me in the presence of God's glory.

“but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me. So I am well pleased with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, and with difficulties, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God’s strength].” ~ 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

When Our Insufficiency Seeks to Devour Us, God Rises Up and Comes to Our Aid

Lord, what a mighty God You are! You are who You say You are. You do what You say You will do. Your promises are true. And the incredible wonder is that my insufficiency loses its power over me in the presence of Your glory.

You are El Shaddai — the All-Sufficient God.

My need is Your heart’s desire.

My lack melts in Your hands.

Your grace, Lord, meets my insufficiency head-on and gives me the strength to carry on.

When I consider that You are my God — that I belong to You — I am overwhelmed by Your love. You know all things. You see all things.

You have ultimate power … over all things.

And when I am in need — when my insufficiency seeks to destroy me filling me with fear and doubt — You rise up and come to my aid.

You replace my despair with hope

You exchange my fear with courage.

You provide what I need and more.

From the abundance of Your Kingdom, my needs are met by Your hand. Physical needs. Emotional needs.

Living-in-a-fallen-world needs.

When Grace Meets Our Insufficiency Head-On

You are the All-Sufficient God! Nothing is too difficult for You. Your love sustains me. Your grace meets my insufficiency head-on and gives me the strength to carry on. I don’t know why You love me as You do, but I’m so thankful. I feel safe in Your arms.

I give You praise, and honor, and glory, for You alone are worthy of praise.

In Jesus’s Name I pray,

Amen
