“You are my hiding place; You, Lord, protect me from trouble;
You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. Selah.” ~ Psalm 32:7, AMP
“For He will conceal me there when troubles come;
He will hide me in His sanctuary.
He will place me out of reach on a high rock.” ~ Psalm 27:5, NLT
How is the Lord My Hiding Place?
Lord, I feel safe with You. When the world is spinning out of control, when flames of trial are lapping at my legs, I know I can run to You. You are my hiding place — this I know very well.

But I keep peeking out at the Enemy’s ambush.
And when I do, I feel afraid.
I feel overwhelmed.
Why can I not simply rest beneath the shelter of Your wing while You hide me from Satan’s schemes? It seems I have to be so nosey and see what he’s up to rather than keeping my eyes on You.
When my eyes are on You, all fear is gone. Your peace washes over me in ways that cannot be explained. You make me brave. You make me laugh with joy unspeakable. What a mighty God You are!
I Find Safety in the Shelter of God’s Wing
Truly You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble. You are my song in the night and my shield against the flaming arrows. Thank You for Your faithfulness to me.
And thank You for Your patience as I impulsively peek out from Your shelter. You, Lord, are my hiding place. There’s no other place I’d rather be. I praise You, Lord.
In the Name of Jesus, I pray,
Amen — let it be so
