“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run the race with endurance that God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.” ~ Hebrews 12:1-2, NLT
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.” ~ 2 Timothy 4:7, NLT
I Try My Hardest to Run the Race with Endurance
Lord, I know with You all things are possible. I know You are my strength consuming my weakness when I cry out to You. I also know You lead me in the ways I should go, expecting me to run the race with endurance.

But mercy goodness!
Sometimes that is very difficult. Some days I want to hide under a rock, but then I remember that YOU are the Rock and I smile. I smile because … well … because You’re so funny. I love Your sense of humor.
But seriously, Lord. The road is long and arduous. The path is wrought with obstacles, difficult decisions and impossibilities.
And yet, You tell me to press on, to keep my hand to the plow and my eyes looking up to see Your lovely face. So I do. And You come alongside me and give me strength. And perseverance. And grit.
You cheer me on and enable me to run the race with endurance, bringing honor to Your name.
That is my greatest heart’s desire — bringing honor to Your Name. Drawing others to You, leading them to the cross where they will be forever changed, healed, forgiven and restored.
I Will Run and Not Grow Weary
What a glorious Lord You are! I love You with all my heart. With You by my side, I will be able to run the race with endurance — I will run and not grow weary, I will walk and not faint.
Blessed be the name of the Lord, for You are good.
In the Name of Jesus I pray,
Amen
