“As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So pants my soul for You, O God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God?” ~ Psalm 42:1-2, NKJV
“O God, You are my God;
Early will I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You;
My flesh longs for You
In a dry and thirsty land
Where there is no water.” ~ Psalm 63:1, NKJV
“The Lord will guide you continually,
giving you water when you are dry
and restoring your strength.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like an ever-flowing spring.” ~ Isaiah 58:11, NLT
I Need You, Lord at All Times
Lord, You are the joy of my heart, my refuge, and my strength. Oh, how I need You, Lord. As the deer pants for the water, so I thirst for You, the Living God, in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.

Only You can satisfy the longing soul. You created a God-shaped space in the heart of Your people that only You can fill. Fill me to overflowing, Lord! I want to know You more, I want to know You in the fullness of who You are.
Thank You for teaching me. Open my eyes so that I might see clearer. Open my ears so that I might hear and know Your voice … without doubt, without questioning, but with solid certainty that it is You.
I love being Your child. I am secure in Your love.
Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart! Wash me, Lord. Purify my heart and remove anything not of You. I want You to see Your reflection in me.

I want my life to be an expression of worship to You, for You alone are God. Make me holy as You are holy so that our fellowship may be intimate.
I need You, Lord. In the searching, and in the in-between times. In the laughter and in the tears … I need You. Thank You for drawing near in my time of need. I’m thankful Your eyes roam across the earth seeking those who love You who need to be strengthened. Oh, how good You are!
Only You, Lord, Can Satisfy the Longing Soul
You are faithful and true, merciful and kind. There is no other like You.
In the Name of Jesus, I pray,
Amen ~ let it be so

Sweet blessings to you,

Thank you for the encouraging words… These passed couple day have been dark, sleepless nights. Only A God of love can help.
Oh, dear one, He will. When we call upon the Lord in our distress, He is faithful to hear us, to incline His ear to us and listen. One of my favorite names of the Lord is El Roi, the God Who Sees Me and knows all about it. This name was revealed in the story of Hagar in Genesis 16. God found her in the wilderness when she was exiled from the family camp of Sarah and Abraham. He FOUND her. This implies that He was seeking after her, pursuing her in her difficult place. The Lord is the same today, He changes not. I believe He is drawn to our pain like a magnet to steel. Know that I am praying for you right now and asking the Lord to reveal Himself in tangible, personal ways. Sweet blessings to you, Nan
Dearest Nan, Your post always blesses me & speaks to my heart. My Mom was 96 when she let this earthly life ~ I can still see her sitting at the table painstakingly searching each word of scripture with a magnifying glass untill she could remember & than treasure His word in her heart. Heavenly Father, you hold us tenderly in your embrace, giving us Hope, Strengthening us, placing a song of praise in our hearts. Please give Nan strength & hope for every minute, put a new song In her heart ~ I pray for healing Lord, heal the wounds inflected upon her loved ones. In your precious name Jesus hear my prayer Amen❤️
You are so precious. Thank you for your beautiful prayer and encouraging words. My mom was 98 when she entered eternity last April. She was just like your mom. Several years ago she lost most of her sight due to macular degeneration so we got her an audio Bible. The speaker (reader) had a British accent. She called him her British pastor – lo! What mighty women God gave you and I to emulate. We have been blessed.
