Your Name, Jesus, is Powerful
Jesus, what a beautiful Name! Your Name is excellent, powerful, and the sweetest Name I know. Thank You for loving me … thank You for making Your Name available to me when I need to speak with authority.
At the Name of Jesus, darkness flees and demons tremble. Fear loses its grip on me. At the mention of Your Name, my chaos turns to peace, and my despair turns to hope. You draw near and embrace me with the warmth of Your presence. You respond when I call to You … I know I am not alone.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but You promise to deliver us out of them all. Praise Your Name! Your grace is sufficient; Your mercy is great.
Greater are You in me than he that is in the world. You are a shield about me, Your grace is like a sentinel guarding my heart and mind. And though the enemy of my soul buffers me, it is but for a season because I belong to You, Lord. You call me daughter, the apple of Your eye.
I want to follow hard after You. In the light of Your presence, there can be no darkness. Your Word is a lamp unto my feet leading me in the paths of righteousness. Your whisper is clear as You instruct me in the way that I should go. You are not a god of confusion but a God of peace, and in Your light, I remember who You are.
Just the Mention of Your Name …
Lead me by Your peace. Give me courage to stand firm in adversity, knowing that when I call on You, victory is mine.
I need only to speak Your Name … Jesus … and darkness flees.
