We must awaken our hearts to know God’s abiding presence.
Lord, You are so awesome. Thank You for teaching me about Your abiding presence. What comfort I find knowing that You are with me always.
I listen for Your voice in the thunder that I might remember Your power. I listen for Your sweet whisper as the gentle breeze brushes through the pines. The clouds are the dust of Your feet and I imagine You drawing near me when I need Your strength.
You have taught me to be aware of You at all times and for that I am eternally grateful.
I ask that You teach my brothers and sisters this also — especially those who feel so alone or completely overwhelmed by life’s difficult places. Open their eyes to see You and to know Your abiding presence. Open their ears to hear You. I ask that You stir within them the awareness that You desire for Your children to find You.
Lord, You promise that when we seek You, You will be found. When we draw near to You, You will draw near to us. When we call out to You, You will answer.
You promised that we would be Your people and You would be our God.
Thank You Lord. Praise be to Your holy Name!
