With His consuming fire comes healing.
Amber flames — cloud wisps in the morning sky — cast a golden hue upon the earth. Like the consuming fire of our God, the sky was ablaze with His glory. Darkness faded, consumed by the light.
My darkness is fading, consumed by the Light. His light. The Dayspring from on high — the Sun of Righteousness — has visited me. In His tender mercies He has shone His light into the darkened corners of my heart, restoring the broken places, resurrecting where the death of dreams left its sting.
I am amazed and forever grateful.
Are you in that place? That place of darkness where pain is unbearable, where nothing makes sense, and where the agony and shame of brokenness is more than you can bear? I encourage you to offer your brokenness to the Lord. Lay it on the altar found at the foot of the Cross — lay it down with all its ugliness, with all its lies and destruction. Give it to Him once and for all.
Our compassionate God will accept your offering of pain, His consuming fire engulfing the altar and creating beauty from its ashes. The light of His Glory will dispel the darkness. The bitterness will become a place of acceptance. Fear will transform into courage. Peace will rise through the amber flames.
And you will find it is well with your soul.
“But for you who fear My name [with awe-filled reverence] the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go forward and leap [joyfully] like calves [released] from the stall.” ~ Malachi 4:2, AMP
