God's abiding Presence is greater than depression, anxiety, or feelings of worthlessness. Emmanuel ... God with us.

God’s abiding Presence is greater than depression, anxiety, or feelings of worthlessness. Emmanuel … God with us.

Lord, through it all You have been faithful. You are the Mighty God, my Prince of Peace. You have taught me to trust You in all things. Sometimes I forget to focus on You, and when I forget, depression takes hold and my light grows dim.

But You are teaching me to focus — to see You with me always, in all circumstances, in all of my difficult places. You are awakening my heart to see that out of brokenness, lavish grace is released and beauty can sincerely rise from the ashes. Thank You. You are God and I belong to You. Nothing can come my way without Your knowledge. Thank You for the miracle of Your Presence.

I’m asking You to teach my friends this same Truth. Your abiding Presence is tangible when we remember to focus on You and Your goodness, Your faithfulness, Your mercy, and Your love. Your abiding Presence is greater than any depression or anxiety or fear or feelings of worthlessness we may encounter. Yes! You are greater than anything the enemy may throw at us.

But we must seek You — look for You in our pain because You are there. You promise to be near the brokenhearted. You promise to never leave nor forsake us. Thank You. Seal this Truth within us Lord.

In Jesus’ Name I pray,

Amen
