When we know the One who loves us, we will find His perfect peace.
You, Lord, are worthy of my praise. You are the Great and Mighty God, Maker of heaven and earth. You are my Redeemer, Deliverer, Savior and Friend. You are my perfect Peace and You make Yourself known to me — to little ol’ me. Wow! I am humbled.
In You I find my worth, my confidence, my purpose … my peace. Forgive me when I follow distractions rather than focus on You, and thus lose my way. I am sealed in Your Holy Spirit, and for that I am grateful. Sealed. Safe within Your covenant love where no enemy can defeat me. I belong to You and You belong to me — what an absolutely wondrous thought.
Many of Your children are struggling, Lord. I can see a glimpse of Your Father’s heart breaking for them as You draw near with Your promise of refuge, yet they don’t see You. Cause the blinders to fall from their eyes that they may see beyond the veil and recognize Your presence. Set their legs and heart in motion to run into Your arms and hide beneath the shadow of Your wings. I ask that You make a way for them where there seems to be no way.
Teach us to wait on You, standing firm in Your promises of faithfulness, knowing that You respond to the cry of Your children. Give us peace Lord — the peace that passes all understanding, the peace that makes absolutely no sense to the world that is watching. Your peace is perfect, for YOU are our peace. It is not peace that the world gives, but a peace that flows and envelops us from the Father’s love. Thank You for Your perfect peace. You are wonderful Lord. We love you.
