Finding God’s Presence ~ What Happens When We Draw Near to God?

Draw near to the One who goes before you making the crooked way straight.

Lord, I long to be near You. Draw me ever nearer. Hide me beneath the shadow of Your wings until these calamities pass me by.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but You O Lord promise to deliver us out of them all. You are faithful and true, merciful and kind. Because You are for us, who can dare to be against us? You have made us the head and not the tail. You have made us overcomers, Your special treasure. You have called us as Your own. Bless You Lord!

I pray for those who feel there is no way out of their dilemma. Give them hope for You ARE their hope. Make a way where there seems to be no way. You go before Your children, parting our Red Seas for Your glory and our good.

Open our eyes to see the walls crumbling down, the waves being stilled, and the wind ceasing its howling destruction. Bring the dawn of a new day into the lives of Your children who face desperate circumstances, and shield us from the work of the enemy.

You are a good Father, mighty in power, yet gentle in Your love. As we call out Your Name and draw near to You, thank You for responding by drawing near to us. How can we offer You enough praise — enough  thanks for all You do? You are wonderful Lord. We love You.
