You are greater than anything I face
Lord, when I consider how great You are, my troubles grow smaller. Some days, I become overwhelmed with anxiety; I battle sorrow and fear. Life can be crushing, but then I remember … I remember I belong to You, and You are greater than anything I face. You are magnificent and complex. You are faithful and true, merciful and kind. You are everything that I need.
Take me higher, Lord — higher in my understanding, deeper in my faith. I want to know You more because I know I belong to You. I want to know the hope of Your calling, the riches of the glory of Your inheritance. And I want to know the exceeding greatness of Your power toward me — that power that works in me and through me.
You are so great! Your complexity baffles me sometimes; it astounds me. When I realize the intimate details You have put in place in every aspect of my life and in every aspect of this world — wow! I am amazed.
And thankful.
Thankful to be called Your daughter, because in those moments of pondering, I get a glimpse of Your love for me, love I don’t deserve, yet You freely give.
I belong to You, Jesus
I bless You, Lord. I praise Your holy name. Give me understanding that I am seated in the heavenly realm with You, Jesus! I belong to You! I am found in You, my sure place, my Advocate, my Savior and friend.
Yes, I am found in You.
Nothing can separate me from Your love. Hide me beneath the shadow of Your wings until these calamities pass me by. I would have lost heart unless I believed I would see the goodness of the Lord — Your goodness — in the land of the living. Because You are with me, because I know I belong to You, I know I will make it through this difficult season.
I love You, Lord. You are my everything.
