God, You are the Burden-Bearer, not the Burden-Giver

Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,
    who daily bears our burdens.
~ Psalm 68:19, NLT

For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you. ~ Isaiah 41:13, NIV

Then Jesus said, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. ~ Matthew 11:28-29, NLT

God is My Helper, the Burden-Bearer

Lord, You are high and lifted up, You are Lord over all the earth! You are mighty, filled with wonder and power and yet You are tender towards Your children You are the Burden-Bearer, not the Burden-Giver.

My burdens are great. Many I know are heavy-laden with burdens of the heart and by the struggles this fallen world creates.

But You are a good Father. You shield us, You help us. You lift the burdens from us and free us from the crushing pain.

God is the Burden-Bearer

Open the eyes of our hearts to see you reaching into our difficult places to remove the burdens from us and carry them away in Your capable arms.

You are the Burden-Bearer, not me, not my friends and family. It is too much for us. This world is cruel, this life is hard. But You are good and You are faithful.

There is no one like You, O Lord my strength. You bring joy into my sorrow, peace into my chaos. You strengthen me through the power of Your love and the gift of Your amazing grace.

God is the Burden-Bearer

Help me hand my burdens over to You — my Burden-Bearer. I don’t want to give them to You in a moment of inspiration, and then jerk them back when emotions take hold and I take my eyes off You. I want to sincerely give You the burdens of my heart. I want to lay them at Your feet — they are too much for me to carry.

Help me, Lord. Stir up my faith as I give them to You, rekindle the trust I have placed in You and give me peace as I relinquish these burdens to You.

God is Greater Than My Burdens

I love You, Lord. Thank You for walking with me every step of the way. You are greater than anything I face.

In the Name of Jesus, I pray,

Amen — let it be so
