The Lord becomes our sure place when He is our first love.
I love You Lord. Let my praise be a sweet sound in Your ear, the sweet aroma of sacrifice. I can count on You to be my sure place, my Rock when the world around me is shifting. Thank You. Thank You for being dependable, faithful, and longsuffering. Thank You for loving us with a love that never fails. You are good.
Just as I long to know You more, many others feel the same way. Many need to know that You are their sure place also. Open our eyes to see You in our midst. Enlighten the eyes of our hearts to understand Your heart. Lead us to Your secret place where You teach Your devoted children the mysteries of Your kingdom. Teach us to dwell in Your Presence — to understand the difference between knowing You and loving You.
Show us how to make You our first love, for it is in that place of the heart that we flourish and become all that You have called us to be. It is in that place of the heart that faith grows and fear loses its grip. Insecurities slip away. Despair is no more. For it is in that place of the heart that You reign as Lord over our lives.
Lord, You are a wonderful Father and keeper of all things. Thank You. We love You Lord.
