I Can Smile Because of Your Grace
Lord, You promise me strength for each day of my life. When I am weak, You promise to be strong. I hold fast to this gift of Yours — I believe it and I rely on it. Some days I am just plain worn out, but then I remember Your promise and it causes me to look up and I smile because of Your grace.
Because of You, the weak say, “I am strong,” the poor say, “I am rich.” Your faithfulness reaches to the highest heavens, and Your grace carries me through the darkest valleys, blanketing me in strength to endure the trial.
I’m learning that Your strength has nothing to do with muscle tone — it is a strength of soul that stands firm in the winds of adversity. It is courage that doesn’t hide from the flaming arrows, but lifts high the shield of faith and proclaims that You are God and You are sovereign over all my life.
Oh my goodness! What a glorious thought.
When I pass through the water I won’t be afraid, nor will I drown because You are with me. When my path takes me through the fire, I will not be burned because You are a shield about me giving me strength to keep moving forward to the other side.
My Heart Overflows With the Knowledge of Your Love
I praise You, Lord. My heart overflows with the knowledge of Your love, for I know that I know when I am weak, You will step right into my difficult place to give me strength. What a mighty God You are.
