God instructs us to not be afraid, but instead, bring our anxious thoughts to Him.

“Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” ~ Philippians 4:6-7, AMP

“You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.” ~ Isaiah 26:3, NKJV

“God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable],
A very present and well-proved help in trouble.
“Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change
And though the mountains be shaken and slip into the heart of the seas … ” ~ Psalm 46:1-2

God Wants to Take All Our Anxious Thoughts

Lord, You are high and lifted up. You are holy, sovereign, and You are God — OUR God. Search us and know our anxious thoughts that ravage our minds and steal our peace.

You are our peace.

And You are with us — a very present help in times of trouble.

Help us get that in our knowers, Lord — not just as a cliche’, but as a Truth we can hold fast to: You. Are. With. Us. especially in times of trouble to help us and carry us through to the other side.

Our minds wander, our thoughts roam into the darkest pits where they don’t belong. Help us bring our anxious thoughts captive to You QUICKLY — not later, not tomorrow, not after we have wallowed in them awhile, but immediately after we have identified them. These thoughts are not from You. Anxiety and fear and dread are not from You.

Lord, Help us Bring Our Anxious Thoughts to You

You give us peace because You, Yourself, are our peace.

You are the Lord our God who holds our right hand saying, “Fear not, I will help You.”

Search our hearts, Lord, and know all of our anxious thoughts.

Replace them with thoughts of Your goodness, Your faithfulness, and Your great love.

For You are who You say You are, and You do what You say you will do … in Your time, in Your way. Help us trust O, Lord.
