God is our shield and buckler, the lifter up of our heads.
Lord, my heart is flowing with gratitude for Your love, Your faithfulness, and Your grace … Your amazing grace. It really is sufficient, meeting the needs of our hearts, calming the fearful minds, and strengthening weary bodies. You are a shield about me protecting me from the work of the enemy. Thank You. Thank You for showing Yourself strong in the midst of my weaknesses.
You are who You say You are.
You do what You say You will do.
Bless the Name of the Lord!
I know many who are hurting behind fake smiles and perfect facebook worlds. We may be able to hide from the world, but not from You. You know our hearts. I believe You want to rush in to help us in our time of need, but often You wait. You wait for us to relinquish our ridiculous pride and call out to You.
We can’t so this life-thing alone, Lord. It’s way too hard. Calling on You is not a sign of weakness — it is a sign of wisdom, a sign of relationship with a mighty God. I ask that You show Yourself strong on behalf of those whose shoulders sag under the weight of their burdens. I ask that You bring the thoughts captive of those whose minds are trying to figure out everything in their own strength, those who the enemy taunts with lies and fears and doubts. Yes, Lord, show Yourself strong on their behalf. Be their shield and buckler.
Thank You for Your tender love and Your fierce protection of Your children. How blessed we are. We rejoice in Your goodness.
In Jesus’ Name I pray,
Amen
