When God is holding me close I am safe in His arms.

Even when you are old I will be the same. And even when your hair turns white, I will help you. I will take care of what I have made. I will carry you, and will save you. ~ Isaiah 46:4, NLV

If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there;
if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath. ~ Psalm 34:18, MSG

By Faith, He is Holding Me Close

Lord, Your tender watch-care brings me such comfort and security. I am safe in Your arms. Thank You for holding me close.

Thank You for teaching me to recognize Your presence and to rely on Your promises. For in Your promises You assure me You will be near — You will be holding me close in my time of struggle.

You promise You will carry me as a father carries His son in the wilderness.

What blessed assurance!

Stir faith within me, Lord, to remember and stand on this Word.

I feel fragile. Restless. Burdened by the assault of the enemy — threatened by his lies.

My heart trusts that You are holding me, but my mind only sees my circumstances and blocks out the reality of Your presence.

Open my eyes to see You, Lord. Awaken my heart to remember Your faithfulness.

What You say You will do, You will do.

Who You say You are, You are.

This I believe.

And in this moment, I choose to believe that You are my Abba Father — my Daddy God who runs to me in my time of need. You scoop me up in the warmth of Your love. I feel safe again when You’re holding me close as only a loving Father can.

Safe and secure.

Loved and accepted.

Restored and redeemed.

That is who You are — my Father God. No one compares to You, Lord. Nothing the world offers can bring me the peace I experience when You are holding me close.

No one.

Yes! He is Holding Me Close

You alone are worthy of my praise. You alone are Lord of my heart.

I love you, Lord.
